• Three PB-1W's assigned to VW-1 crossed the Pacific in February, 1953, for a brief taste of combat patrol duty during the Korean conflict in support of Navy Task Force 77 and the First Marine Air Wing out of Pohang, South Korea.

• In December 1952 the first "Willie Victor" a WV-1 (Lockheed Model 749) was received by AEWRON ONE for training.

The pictures on this page are intended to cover the time period of 18 June 1952 to April 1954
when VW-1 started the transistion to WV-2 aircraft.
